Welcome to Thistle Threads

Clare Workman runs a terrific range of classes in her fabulous studio in the inspiring setting of the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. To suit all skill levels and interests, there will be something to tempt you! Workshops include: hand and machine embroidery, felt making, fabric dyeing and painting, papermaking, mixed media for collage, cards, jewellery and embroidery, rag rugs, patchwork, quilting, appliqué, crochet, knitting.  We also run Patchwork and Quilting day and evening classes.
A select range of materials and equipment is available to buy on the day at Thistle Threads and further supplies are available to order.

Gift vouchers are available and make a lovely present – they can be for specific workshops or be left open for the recipient to choose.
Please contact me with any queries or requests. If your preferred workshop is not on a convenient date let me know.  Additional dates can be included for groups of five or more.

Nearly Spring! Newsletter and Workshop Programme 2011

Happy New Year to you all. I do hope you have enjoyed the festive season and come through the winter weather unscathed. Now our thoughts are turning to new beginnings and creative fun beckons.

The weekly patchwork and quilting classes have recommenced and there is a lovely buzz of friendly creativity with colour and fabric galore. Some new members have joined us and are very welcome and many other members  continue to support us and share their(all good!) patchwork addiction in good company.
There is always something new to learn and see, sew and enjoy!
Classes run on Mondays 10-12, Wednesday 10-12 and 7-9 and Thursday 10-12.

The Workshop Programme is concentrated mainly later in the year this year you will notice. This is because we have a lovely event to prepare for in May-our daughter Lucy’s wedding to Russell. A very special and emotional time –with several thousand lovely details to attend to, and some more mundane necessities also of course .So, I look forward to welcoming you to workshops later on . If you are keen on a particular topic that is not listed let me know –and for groups of 4-8 I can arrange a date to suit.
